Doug, Yes,FBC. In fact my husband just looked over my shoulder at your post and asked if that was our boat. That is the fabric I am referring to. It's not awful, just looking for a way to freshin it up.

Julie, I have that stuff on mine as well. It is pretty dirty from the previous owner. It also covers the the area under the front salon windows. I have scrubbed it with everything possible. I can say it is pretty tough stuff. Nothing phased it. So clean away! I've been thinking about trying one of those stains they use to change car interior colors to see if I can cover it all up. Need to do a test area where it won't be noticed. I've had this boat almost 10 years and still find more important things to worry about, so I haven't done it yet. We'll see if anyone else has tackled it yet. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC 2007 8.1 Crusaders

I started off using the automotive vinyl stain on a test area & found it to saturate the material too much & bubble. We ended up with just regular latex the same color brown/beige & it came out beautiful. We prepped the vinyl with a light scrubbing with lacquer thinner then rolled & tipped. We applied two coats. It doesn't have the same soft texture, but it really looks great. Joe Tomaini 1988 Sportfish Attitude Adjustment II Fort Lauderdale, FL

Bob S., I am going to the boat this weekend to hopefully see the final product, so I'll take some pictures.

Julie, I use Simple Green on mine. I put some on a white terry cloth towel and rub firmly. It takes the scuff marks off and water stains also. Brian 1986 Bertram 33 FBC Mercruisers Seahorse Ellisville Harbor, Ma

My wife used a Clorox Bleach Pen and, although very time consuming, it came out like new! You need to be very careful not to get it on anything that it may take the color out of. I think if I had to do it again I'd use Clorox Clean-up. I used that on my front cabin window cover. It was very moldy and dirty (even after I washed in a washing machine) and it came out like new. To the point that I canceled an order for a new one.
