The boat gives a completely different ride at the 22-23 knots that 300+hp diesels allow you to cruise at (I have Cummins 6BTA's in the same exact boat you have). Better running angle and better through just about everything as more of the boat is out of the water. You won't need to use your tabs except to balance an un-even load. Fuel burn went from 30-32gph at 18-19 knots to 20+gph at 22-23 knots. The bottom line is that its a completely different boat. Doug is right. The boat loves to run above 20 knots which was really the max when I had gas unless you wanted to burn way too much fuel. I did mine in Yanmars and they have been flawless for nearly 400 hours. Beyond cruise speed, the other huge difference is that I can load up with ice, bait, 4 fat guys, and enough stuff to fish over-night and it runs the same as if she was empty. Plus, I can get home with fuel to spare. I clearly dont want to start a huge to do about who is best, but I would recomend the guy I used. My "punch list" after him tearing the entire boat apart was non-existant - literally not one thing. Email me and I will answer what I can.

Hi guys, My engines are inside. I have found problems with the exaust because all the hoses were in really bad shape, I belive, I have about two more weeks worth of work before hitting the water again. I have a question if anyone can help me locating the best place to connect the dripless shaft seal´s hoses on the Cummins 6bta engines. I apreciate your helo. Tx

I would look at this, instead of dripless that could fail. http://www.e-marine-inc.com/products/gf ... cking.html
