Boy it's a sign of the times I guess... I got more than double that for a pair of Chrysler 318's just 4 years ago and it happened in days with little effort. This guy just got a deal and a half... if he doesn't come through, he's an idiot.

Doug, it wasn't meant that way... Lets see.... you have a twin diesel Bertram 33... Feeling "bad" for you isn't in the cards buddy. And, "rubbing it in" is misguided irony from where I sit.

Doug, as I look at the photo on E-bay it looks as if you have both engines, trans, and your old genny sitting in the cockpit. Is that correct? That is a lot of weight if so. I had two small blocks chevy's in my full size pickup with the trannys on and the thing sat down on the spring stops. I wonder if you got any glass cracking from that load?

Tom, They're long gone. That pic was taken back in Nov. They were situated so they were stradleing the bulkhead that separates the gennie from the fuel tank. Everything was fine. It hasn't shipped yet. I'm hoping to have it by this time next week. How's the house coming? Is Callie any closer to getting her living room back? Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

The contractor screwed me around & then told me a few weeks ago he didn't want the job. This was after I had repeatedly asked him specifically that ??. Had to go back to square one & find a new contractor. He was supposed to start this week, but the weather had other ideas. Al

Hi Guys. It had been awhile since Iv'e been on here. We have been searching and cradle kicking forever! We looked at an 86 at Brewers in Branford last week and signed a P&S. She goes to survey Saturday. Lots of hrs on her but a spotless extreamly well maintained boat. I'll be watching Dougs repower. If all goes well we will be bringing her up from CT mid May. Doug , I would try to hook up with you for the cruise back up but I don't think we can keep up with you with those sweet diesels!!

Brian, You have me confused with Bill. His boat is being re-powered in Ct. Mine's being done in Salem right at my yacht club. You're welcome to take the ride from the travel lift pit back to my slip though![:D] Are you looking at the Celtic Pride? If so, 1150 hrs isn't too bad. I just got $1800 for my RTO's. At the survey make sure to check the rear main seals on both mains. From the pics, it does look like a very clean boat. Good luck. Bill, Doug, I'm easily confused these days! It's not the Celtic Pride. It has 1350 hrs on her. Yard maintained with an open check book, two owners, stored in a heated shed, spotless. The last owner replaced all the hoses and belts every year!I thought it had been repowered when I crawled into the engine room. No dust on anything, no rust no oil. New Northstar 6000i over the winter. I don,t think this boat has ever had it,s bow stuffed into a wave. I know I,m going to have to repower within the next couple of years. I,m very interested in how both of you make out. Regards Brian
