Fishing Tackle Center
It's always bugged me that there isn't a lot of tackle storage space available in the 33SF. At the time that I had the hull of the boat Imron-ed a few years ago I was talked into replacing the side panels below the bolsters with a melamine surfaced hardboard that has now started to de-laminate. I've ordered 1/4 inch King Starboard to make new panels and come across some King Starboard tackle lockers made by Cabelas that will fit into the panels. Measuring yesterday looks as if I can fit in four lockers and they each hold four of the Plano 3700 tackle boxes. Has anybody come up with a better solution?

Check out SSI's stuff, lots of options, but not cheap. They'll send you a catalog if you call them. I'm looking at a couple of their doors to mount on my FBC vertical side panels (the removable ones) in the cockpit to gain some storage space. http://www.ssicustomplastics.com/ Brian '90 Bertram 33' FBC Never Say Never Guilford, CT (Homeport) Kinnelon, NJ (Home)

I had a tackle box made by nautical design(nauticaldesignine.com).I am going to mount it on top of the port engine box up against the cabin wall. The box is 19"deep so i can still lift up the engine box if needed. It will hold 8 of the 3"deep plano boxes.12 of the 2" deep boxes and also has 5 drawers. My only problem with the cockpit is where to put coolers a 30 gallon live well and spare anchor line for when we go offshore.

Micheal, I can't help with the coolers but I keep my extra anchor line in a milk crate , under the forward hatch, right in front of the battery boxes. For a livewell, I was thinking of either a portable one mountewd on the swim platform or someday I may get one that fits the inside of the transom, flush with the deck. I am not sure where to get such a live well but I've seen ones similar to that on other boats. On Ricks boat , it has a really cool livewell, made of aluminum, that fits in one of the rear hatches, beside the genset. Not sure if it was an option or if someone made it.
