Bathroom question
Ok, anyone know the trick to getting the friggin faucet out in the bathroom?
George, What is the problem you are having? Are the bottom nuts frozen on? Or is it you just can't get to them? With a good pair of goggles on, can you or a dock mates wharf rat kid get in there with a Dremel & cut the nuts at least enough to break them off? Just be sure you don't cut to deep into the bottom of the counter. Have you tried a cheap version of this basin wrench? http://www.acehardware.com/product/inde ... sin+wrench Al 1978 33 FBC NITES OFF

George, I'm going up to the boat on Saturday and if you're there, I'd be happy to take a look at it with you. Let me know or I'll just see you there. Brian '90 Bertram 33' FBC Never Say Never Guilford, CT (Homeport) Kinnelon, NJ (Home)

I can't get to the damn nylon nuts that hold it in. I did not try the basin wrench. Never used one - Depot time. Brian, I will be down in the morning first thing. I assume they have moved on to your boat at this point (I hope)? How he plans to have both boats done and in the water in a month is hard to figure.

Just changed the galley faucet today, the original was beat up so I changed it with a nice new chrome, high arched type. It was tough getting in there to get the nylon nuts off for sure, I flipped over a pair of plyers and used it like a wishbone to spin the nuts off. Couldn't see anything, had to do it by touch. A couple of years ago I went looking for them and couldn't really find them. Boat Useless/Worst Marine didn't carry them. It probably didn't help that I was looking for these on Sat and Sunday. I'll bet a dedicated plumbing supply store would have what you're looking for. BTW, Sorry I haven't gotten back to you about the Flowscan's. I'm trying to get Frank to help me install them and he's been flat out lately. I think he's trying to get his GED.[:D] Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Did I say GED? Sorry, I meant PHD! (Like Ron!) For the record, Bill was in the thong. I was in the tank top. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

The grey plastic Nuts, fittings and piping I have always found readly available at B.O.W . Forget Boat useless & Worst Marine. If fact I need to go down there and get some fittings for my deck FW fitting. If you need just the female for under the sink, let me know. Gene Dugan

Bill, By the way you were wearing it I'm not surprised that you don't remember it. As it turns out Doug didn't try it on but I'm afraid you did... Care to see a picture? These really should be in the family album..I'm surprised people from other boats didn't come around to watch all of you with that silly thing.
