Water Tank
I've developed a leak in the FW tank on a '78 Convert. It looks like a bear to get the tank out for repair/replacement. Has anybody removed one or found a way to repair in the boat?
Bottom, I have a 1978 also. My water tank is plastic. It's mounted on the centerline in front of the engines & under the the forward 3 steps. I wanted to mount a holding tank just in front of it up against the 3 step bulkhead. Removed most of the plywood covering box in prep to pulling out the tank. Finally realized that it wouldn't come out without cutting the small aft bulkhead glassed into the stringers. This is the one that the plywood deck rests on. Have you found where your tank is leaking? Is it accesible? If so, some of the metal mending epoxies might work. AL 1978 33 FBC NITES OFF P.S. I thought I saw somewhere that you said your tank was stainless or aluminum.

I know on my '89, the floor is sectioned right over the water tank. If I pulled the carpet, would come straight up. The holding tank is straight forward of the water tank on a shelf on top of the stringers under the steps. It slides in or out. I thought they all were like that. I read some posts where extra fuel tanks have been monted in this waste tank area too. E.W. Dugan
