I will repeat again, unlimited resource. I am sure that they are still paying 12 cents a gallon in Venzuela, doesn't look like they are worried about running out. Frank is right, good luck selling, best thing to do is make adjustments to your cruising habits until Bush wakes up, although I'm sure he isn't willing to take money out of his own oil lined pockets. Where theres a seat, theres an ass. Like everything else there is always someone who will buy. I might have jumped the gun about saying I would sell, but I can not believe that some of you are calm about this. What,do you guys have stock in oil too???? You have to know that the demand is not all that much more than last year. You have to know that there is plenty of oil. And to jack up prices because of what happenned down south is just robbery. Everytime someone sneezes about oil, it go's up a buck. You guys have to agree that someone is jerking us all around on this one. I have deisel and am mad as hell. Gas powered, I would be speechless. Is it me???????????????????? Or you. Mike Mike Lawrence 81 sportfish 33' shot'n'beer

Mike, While I'm not happy about the price of gas, its in my nature to be calm about such things. We've seen this before, and while it does suck, it will turn around. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

I also am concerned for those poor soles that are in the situation that they are in. It is truly devastating. That still does not take away from the fact that the gas we are paying 3 to 350 agallon now for was refined at a price of half of that. Look at the stock market and check the gas companies out. Highest profits on record. The only thing I worry about is when they get to 4 and they do drop prices, the drop is only going to go to 3 or 350 because everyone just sits and takes it. I guess we will all see. Mike Mike Lawrence 81 sportfish 33' shot'n'beer

I try not to get upset about things I have no control over, like fuel prices. Honestly fuel is probably the smallest bill associates with owning a boat, and we didn't buy them to save money. Maybe we'll have to all install masts and sails... Sean Burlingham "Island Time" 1987 Bertram 33 SF Melbourne, FL SBurlingham@cfl.rr.com

Everyone I know is asking how I will deal with the rising fuel costs as if someone in my family died. Even saying they feel sorry for me. How can ya feel sorry for someone with a toy like this. I hesitate to say to people that I can afford my boat and all that goes with it because I do not want to sound like an A-hole - but I thought it through before buying it. I ain't rich, but I can figure out what I can and cannot afford. I considered how I would fair if gas went through the roof when I bought the boat - how can that never have crossed your mind. On the other hand, I am telling my wife we are gonna be bankrupt if we don't convert to diesel. I'm switching while I have good excuse. It's all about the fishing!! Cheer up, you can still brag you own a Bertram

As long as the majority of people will keep saying that they have no problem paying 3.00 dollars a gallon, it will stay a 3.00 dollars. Thank God we didn't have that mentality when the British were around a couple hundred years ago! I don't even pay for my gas and it pisses me off.[;)] Bill Dunlop "Rebecca Rose" 1988 FBC Ipswich, Massachusetts

My wife tried logically to calm me down over the price of fuel. I have about enough for one run offshore this weekend, because I can't get the fuel truck to deliver. ( No Marinas in Boca) She says I pay $13 a gal. for Corona so stop whining! Gene Dugan
