surveyor in new jersey

I am in escrow on a boat located on the Jersey shore, about 70 mi so of Newark. Not being from the area, I need a recommendation for a good "buyers" surveyor and a good cat mechanic to inspect both the hull and the engines, presumable I am taking about two different people but I am open to suggestion. The boat has problems from neglect so my need is for a thorough inspection of both the power and the hull. Of course the broker wants me to use their guy but that strikes me as someone that is only going to inspect with one eye and that one will be looking out for the seller. thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Go to www.bertramrendezvous.com and the phone number for John Spenser. He is a rendezvous sponsor and he knows Bertrams. Plus he is the most professional surveyor I have even met. His reports are very detailed. Call Ransom for the Cat survey. They did a great job for me. Charlie
