Happy Holiday

Post by Capn Tony »

It’s been pretty quiet lately. Hope everyone is doing well. Just a quick note to wish everyone happy holidays, Merry Christmas and happy New Year.

Tony,
Your right about the site being quite! I think it’s because there aren’t many of us left.

I hope you, and any of us that are left, have a wonderful holiday and a fantastic new year!

Very Happy Holidays & great & healthy New Year to all. Quiet isn't the word. More like dead. I think most of the old timers like us have moved on At this stage I don't think many are still doing their own maintenance, so no one is asking any questions.

Let’s hope a NE Bertram reunion gets organized this year. That might stir some interest.

Additionally, very few "younger" folks use these old types of forums. Most just use their smart phones or tablets to look things up and these forums aren't really conducive to smart devices.

Also, unfortunately, I think the desire for boats like these have gone down dramatically over the last 10-15 years.

Let's be honest, the "newest" 33 Bertrams rolled off the line 34-35 years ago. My boat is only a year away from being 40 years old! Still love it though and consider myself lucky for having the means to have owned her all these years.

Happy new year to all as well.

This old salt still works on his own boat. Just finishing up a new fuel tank, which lead to new exhaust hose, bulkhead, and new bonding.

I had a minor fuel leak of about 3 oz a day. Lots of fun.

Hope to have it all buttoned up this week!

Happy New Year to all of you and your beloved ones!

I don't know if I still belong to the "young" ones (most likely not), but I retain my love to the boats of that era, and certainly i prefer the forums compared to the most modern means.

Greetings from Greece!
