Has anybody replaced or refurbished the flybridge doors that access the space under the fb front panel? Is so, I'm interested in what you did.
Thanks.

Hi Mike, don't you have the dark plexiglass doors? Anything wrong with them or do you just want something else?
Al
P.S. Did you ever get your windlass installed?

Re: Replace/refurbish flybridge doors
Thanks Al for responding. Can always count on you. Mine (original) were not plexiglass. That's what I am thinking of going to. any pics, description of how they are constructed?
The windlass is a long story but the short answer is "not yet."

Re: Replace/refurbish flybridge doors
Mike, they are just a simple rectangle hinged on the outboard side so they swing open against the side of the bridge. They have a simple surface mounted slide latch to keep them closed. There is a piece of poly carbonate screwed in above to direct water away at the top.
I probably won't be back to the boat for several weeks. If you want I can take pics when I do go.

Al: Mine have the same hardware configuration you describe but my doors are (I assume) plywood covered in vinyl on both sides with some slight padding under the vinyl on the front side.

Re: Replace/refurbish flybridge doors
Thanks Al. Just so I'm following - it is a piece of plexiglass ~ 1/4 in. thick with no backer of any kind?

Yes, there is no backer. I might be going to the boat on Sunday& will check the thickness.

Thanks A. If you can get a pic that would be great. I saw one 33 that had black doors but it was a distant shot not of the doors in particular. Did look like the corners were curved.
