I've been wondering that myself. Will the intakes, carbs, etc... from our 454's fit a 502 longblock? I actually have the same exact boat that you do. There had been a convertable on yachtworld for awhile that had 502's but its been gone now for some time. To answer your original question, I don't belive that anyone on this site has the 502's. There are a couple of guys that have re-powered with the 496's, but other than that all of the gas guys have 454's. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Rochin, I was not under the impression that the 7.4L heads would fit the 8.2L. I thought I had read that the 7.4's had oval ports while the 8.2's had rectangular. Why not just go with long blocks? FYI: Tim is running 2:1's on his 8.1's. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Doug The rectangular ports make more HP than the large oval at over 4500 rpm. They breath more air. The oval make more torque than rectangular at lower rpm (3000 to 3400). They fit to any BB from 427 to 502. I think have more torque at the same rpm let me use a bigger prop with better fuel economy and speed. Rochin
