DC electrical setup with 3208's

My Bertram book does not show wiring diagrams for 33sf 1982 with 3208's. Behind the batteries on the port side if the main switches there are 2 blue finned units that the + cable's go to. What's the purpose of these units and how do they work? I have have been having issues with my alternators and my battery set-up is different than the book. 2 12 volt starting batteries and a bank of 4 220 amp 6 volt golf cart batteries for house batteries.

My guess it they are old style diode based battery isolators to feed the house bank.
