I am sure most systems will let you sync up with your phone now. I can sit at the helm with my phone and change anything I need to. It is probably easier than touching the screen. Scott 1981 46B Dealer's Choice Edisto Beach, SC

The touch screen isn't all that bad I'm trying to convince myself after spending that much. If I ver did it again it would be dials and buttons for sure. My eyes certainly aren't like they were when I was 20. The phone is hard enough to see

I believe one of the marine electronics companies sells a model that has both touch screen and pushbutton/dial features. Not sure which one and don't know the price. I think touchscreen technology is a neat bit of technology that seems great in the store/showroom, but fails to bring it's benefits to real world applications.

Some are a lot more sensitive to touch. I have friend with Simrad and that's extreamly sensitive. Mine is aggravating at full cruise. More movement of the boat. If I back down to 20-24 knots it's fine. In fog and tight quarters I'll pull way back and it's ok. I'm no spring chicken and as much as I like the speed of my iPhone I could text wth my old push button phone without looking at it. Same apples to the old plotter I had I could reach up at it and hit the buttons without looking.
