Osprey Update
Hey All, Hope fully it is starting to warm up where everybody is. Annapolis got a taste of 75 degree days last week! Anyway a little update on Osprey. Since the middle of last year, I've been able to get both motors broken in at around 30 hours. Damn work schedule didn't allow me to use the boat as much as I wanted. But I am hoping to take off quite a longer time this summer. After doing all mechanical the year before, this winter's project was all cosmetic for the most part. The only mechanical jobs done this year was remove and replaced battery charger, and install bow pulpit and anchor windlass. The big project was painting the boat from the rub rail up. I couldn;t tell you all have bad of a job the previous owner did in "repairing" the fibreglass or install new items. I found so many holes from them using incorrect hardware and stripping holes out. In addition their idea to fix a loose antenna bracket was to just keep tighten. At one point, and I wish I had a picture, the hull sides on the flybridge beneath an antenna mount was pulled in 1/2"! But all that is taken care and paint is being applied now. The last coat of primer went on the flybirdge yesterday, and now it is time for top coat. I went with AwlGrip Oyster white and a Royal Blue Stripe. It is a slow process, and behind schedule a little bit, but I am happy so far! Here is a link to some of the picture from throughout! Hope you all enjoy! And hopefully not too much longer before boating/fishing season! http://s1375.photobucket.com/user/gccor ... te%20rWork R/ George
