I agree that North star service is one of the most poorly run places I have ever delt with! On one boat we have a 6000 series system. I had a dim diplay and the repair estimate was $2200.00? They repaired the unit and it is bad again due to a leaky seal and needs to go back. I bought a spare for the boat as I need to have ONE that is functioning. I thought Northstar was going to be phased out of production and I know why! Do yourself a favor and get a Furuno system.....

Agreed Larry. Too bad, Nstar had a good thing going but that's all in the past. The good news is that I found a blown fuse up under my console, so I'm back up and running ! Tell ya, if you have a Northstar, don't plan on being able to fix it. Best option is to find a good used one to get you by. Rick Ticket 85 SF Merc 454 MPI's Falmouth, MA
