I had the rates posted and choose to pull them off as you scare away most of the public. $1000 full day and $750 half days. Nothing to do with the boat but all about the dollars. The e mails just stop and there's no chance to have any interaction with a potential customer. The tower is tall and when it was added the guy that added it had a problem with one local bridge (snake creek) in that he had to fold down antennas and riggers because the bridge keeper wouldn't open the bridge for him. He went to Sherman Marine and got the tower at the correct height that the bridge guy had to open bridge. Sounds screwy and it is (25 k to spite a bridge tender). You are right it can get rocky in that tower and when side too its no fun to be up there as you will move sixty degrees side to side butt you can see everything. The worst is a head sea as the boat will raise and fall and when in the tower the fall part is not fun. Anything over three to five foot waves I try to avoid the tower unless theres something well worth it. If it gets to much up there turn her down sea, hold on while the boat comes around and scamper down while running down sea. PS I have never dipped a rigger but theres been a couple of times when I say a silent prayer for the boat to right its self. I have dipped corners many times when running in troughs. The worst is a wave that sneaks up on you with no forward movement. Captain Larry Wren 305-360-4900 www.apirateschoice.com
