440 HP Yanmars

Post by billb »

well sunday morning working on my boat and a guy comes by and he had just repowered his 33 sportfish which originally had 3208's with brand new 440 yanmars...he said it was a completly different boat..so here are the numbers 29 knot cruise and 34 knots wide open...man that is fast...he said he loved them....from start to finish it cost him $80,000 for the repower....wish I had that much to spend!!!!!!.... anyway I am going to ride in it real soon and I will report back....he said the 370 and 440 are about the same price....he also said the because of the 3126 turbo design with it on the rear of the engine that on the sportfish you have to notch out the rear and add a "box" on the engine cover to they will fit....plenty of room I think on the convertible model though I think...anyway I thought I would share that!!!!!!!
