Since I have been silient for a while [:p] I thought I would post some "before" pictures of our boat. Spring is coming. We will be getting busy working on the boat again soon. Oh, you bought THAT boat. How 'bout that Shirley broker, what a character! Great electronics, great tower, decent hull, I am surprised you had engine trouble with this boat. What did you end up doing for engines?

Ms B If I were the suing type of person, you can bet Shirley would be sued. I still haven't decided for sure if I want to go after her against her broker's license or not. We plan to have the boat painted, finances permit. Rework the interior, and replace both engines, just for starters. [:)] Wednesday we are going to go to the marina and replace the toilet so we can stay on the boat while we work since it is an hour drive for us to the marina. I just went back and read your cruise from hell story. I would be pretty upset with the broker as well. I saw her at the St. Pete show and she was trying to get me into a 69 Hat that was renovatd for $150K. I asked her about the berty and she said it was a good boat but that it was gone What about your surveyor, who did you use? Surprised he did not find any of this in advance of your purchase. I would be really ticked off if this happened to me.

I won't defame his character on these boards, but my lips are twitching.[}:)] I have seen that boat (if it is the same one), and it is a beauty. 60 footer if memory serves. Replacing the engines is a litte down the road for us. I think first, we will have a west coast mechanic check the ones we have out. Just to be sure we can't salvage anything of them.
