cleaning tip

Post by tomeeeee »

I have scuff marks on the walls of the companionway of my '86. As you know, the material on the walls are such that usual cleaning sustances do not work. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Thhanks, Tom[?]

Hi Tomeeeee, How did you make out with your scuff marks? I just bought an 86 33 convertible. Scuff marks in the same place as yours. Also what are the best products to clean the teak interior with? The wood molding in the companion way is a little dirty from hands grabing it on the way down. Can you polish it or treat with Murphys Oil Soap? One more question, I'd like to take my Bertram 33 emblems off, the ones on the port and starboard side of the house and have them plated gold. Does anyone know what the correct plating is? Where they brass plated from Bertram?

Brian, Congratulations on the new MISTRESS! You'll have to change your name now. Are you joining us in Plymouth in August? Al

Thanks Al, We are very excited. We have been looking at boats since last June! Unfortunatly we will be out In Yellowstone on a previous planned vacation. The boat is right around the conner from Brewers. We are at Taylor Point at the west end of the Canal. Right now she is in Branford CT at Brewers. Hope to bring it up in the next couple of weeks. Yard boss down there says there is a ton of crap floating off shore right now from all the rivers. It has been a long time since I have been behind the helm,to say I'm a little bit intiminated would be an understatement. We are looking for a captian to help us take her up and give me a tutorial on the way. Brian
