Hull number

Post by Stephan »

Good day to all, I'm new to this forum, and I have a question regarding history on a 35' hull. I have been in touch with Bertram Miami with no results except check with this forum. I an wondering if anyone could direct me to whom or where I might find this info? Thanking everyone in advance. Stephan

Are you asking for where to find the hull number or decode the one you have? If decoding, try doing a search here or on bertram31.com, it's been discussed often and I don't recall the details. If your looking for it on the boat and it's not on the transom check the fuel tank and if not there look on the inside bulkhead/storage compartments of the v-birth. I just painted my bilge and found my hull identification number embossed in the transom. It is located 2 feet from the center line toward the Port side and about 1 ½ feet up from the bottom. It’s very faint so if you’re not looking for it you will miss it. God luck, Mike.

Mine is on the backside of every drawer and piece interior I've removed so far, also corresponds with the first four digits of the HIN on the transom although been told that it doesn't neccessarily occur that way. BR, Alan.
