I don't need a new ladder. I was looking at that stove too, but the old 3 burner is in perfect shape. When I bought the boat it still had plastic around the elements. Never used. I'm sure the previous owner just pulled into a resturant. I was goint to try and get the whole countertop out and have it redone. I may rethink that. I only need to take cabinets out up to the refrig. to get the Stb. engine out. I'm still concerned about that rear bulhead. I can't see any rot, but I have water intrusion somewhere back behind there. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC

I think the brand was Force 10 not Princess but if the one shown above fits without cutting I would be all for $399 vs the $1,000 or so for the one at West. My only thought was that we actaully like the flip up top that hides the burners and has a little cutting board. Looks good and practical. Frank, I actaully dont have pictures but I also have an 83 so I suspect you have the same cheap cabinets and even worse counter. I kept it farily simple. I left the cabinets in place mostly because they were in good shape and I was running of time with the repower being done at the same time. In hindsight, I would replace them and still might. I took the old counter out and brought it to the local Corian dealer and they made a replica. As you know its actaully 2 pieces. Came out beutiful and was simple to install. Add a new sink, faucets and fridge and it dressed things up big time. That is why the stove got a go - it looks its age and sticks out like a sore thumb.
George... Thanks for the info, but my counter top and cabinets have been so hacked up I want to do the job right and will replace them all. (The previous doofus owner "wanted more room" so somehow he pulled the cabinets and countertop away from the stbd side and apparently cut off about 3" of the back, then he sort of jammed the assembly back against the side and somehow fastened it in place. I want to be able to have lots of access to the floor hatches in case anybody ever needs to pull the stbd engine, so I am considering making the new cabinets in sections.. with whetever is over that hatch removable... more work but maybe worth it if removal is required. Even if not, it is nice to get outside the engine through the floor. Still not sure of all this, so am open to suggestions. I suppose it is about time I started posting some pics here, so maybe in the next few days I will post some of the cabinets so you can see what I am talking about. I measured the stove. It is a Princess 3 burner with the flip top. It is 21.75W x 19.50D x 6.50H. there is also a mica cover on top of the fliptop so it is invisable under the counter top. I broke the stove cabinet and the end cabinet loose last night...finally without taking out the counter top. I'll start posting some pics in my repower thread. BTW the sections are not standard. The end section is 37.75L . I was thinking Oak cabinets from some Kitchen cabinet place, but standard is 36.0. I got some time to think about it. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC
