Tim.. At first my guy said that weighing was all that was necessary, but when he saw how old the tank was he said he had to hydro test it as well.. I think after a certain period of time most pressure vessels have to be recertified.. I know my old SCUBA tanks did, however I also have worked in plants with permanantly installed pressure vessels, and I don't recall them needing to be retested.
