Here's a 33' at a great price?

Post by Brian Davin »

This was recently on eBay and didn't sell (high bid was about $31,000 I think). It's been on the market for a couple of years but they've really fropped the price to move it. Good diesel conversion candidate. http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listing/ ... slim=ywpbs& Brian '90 Bertram 33' FBC Never Say Never Guilford, CT (Homeport) Kinnelon, NJ (Home)

Wow! That boat was on the market when I was looking back in 2001/2002. It was listed for well over $100K back then. I wonder if it took it on the chin from Rita last year? On the other hand, if it is clean (as the listing states) we could all be in trouble. Brian, Speaking of diesel conversions, are you finally back in business?

Doug, When ever an ad states to "call for details" there is generally a story there, and usually not a good one either! 1979 Bertram 33' FBC ALEXANDRA Port Richey, Florida HAVE YOU SIGNED UP FOR BERTRAM PRIDE '06 yet? DO IT NOW... SPACE IS LIMITED!

As for speed, I am getting about 22 knot cruise running her at 3300 rpms. Seems very comfortable for the boat and engines. Kick it up to 3600 rpms which is what Eddy suggested as "cruise" and I am getting about 25 depending on current etc. WOT gets her to about 28 or so. As for fuel, I only topped off once after the run from RI but I have logged about 13 hours since and have not used much. I will have a better sense next week as I am taking her offshore and will monitor way closer. Overall, it is a huge difference in how the boat runs and reacts. I am thrilled with my decision! Hang in there Brian it will be worth it.

Weather permiting that is where I am heading although I hear people are getting decent BFT in closer. I will of course check water temp, recent reports etc but my plan is for the Lady Di to take her first trip to the Canyons with the new diesels! It sure will be nice not worry about running out of fuel the entire time. Send me an email if you are heading out and we can share info (this time or in the future). Love having a another boat to team with.
