Thats OK, I started the Aft Sun Shade thread anyway. There is a thread in here someplace that has 2 pics of my boat , but they were off a digital cam not a still photo. I'll have to see if i have another in my home computer. The original pic I have is on a Richard Bertam spec sheet taken at the Bertram yard in Miami. Kinda looks like they had it posted at Miami or Ft. lauderdale Boat Show. It also has a note written on it from the sales guy to the original purchaser. Gene Dugan

Are these the photos you reffered to? I found them with the Search. Interesting outriggers, some close up shot would be nice. If not at least I know how to post a pic and got to see a fine looking 33 Bertram. Rich, yeah that is what I had posted. I was just looking at what I have in the way of pics. No closeup, but I can have my daughter go out and take one of where it all is bolted on. The tubes are bolted on the house, and the wishbones are thru bolted with backing plates to the side of the bridge. Poles can be either 18 or the 22 ft. Tubes are the Lees 36 in @ 2 in OD. You can lay the riggers straight back for bridges. With everything down I need 16ft , riggers and antennas up 26 ft. I really hate waiting on bridges. I'd rather run in 4-6 ft seas that ditch ride and wait. Everything is No Wake in S. Florida for the most part. I mentioned the poles are bent, so I may drop down to 18 ft poles. There are a few more bridges in the Keys I can clear with everything up getting me to 22 ft. I'll get the pics in a day or two. Gene Dugan

Hello Gene I am interested in your configuration. If you could get some photos, great and thanks in advance. This location seems to allow unobstructed passage around the house to the bow. Are they easy to deploy from the bridge? I have an enclosure so that may interfere with deploying the riggers. Overall hieght is not an issue for me. Capt Rich Catch 22 1989 33 FBC

We went out yesterday. My daughter took a pic of the configuration. I need her to download them and I'll paste it in here tonite. I can deploy both riggers in a matter of seconds from the bridge. I have a couple lines attachched so I can just let them hang. I lock them down if the sea conditions are less than ideal. Gene Dugan

I would think that mounting them like that puts a lot of stress on the sides of the bridge. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

They are reenforced from behind. But they were put on at the factory when the boat was new. I've never had a issue with them. I've fished them in all sorts of crappy weather and nothing has moved. I think one of the previous owners hit a bridge once. The one on the Stb. side doesn't work as smoothly as it should. I'm not messing with it. Gene Dugan
