FBC in South Boston

Post by dougl33 »

I was just sitting in a meeting (my office is at the new John Hancock building in South Boston) and happened to look out the window at a marina that is near my building and noticed that there is an FBC over there with what looks like a royal blue bimini. Is that anyone from here? I know its not Ron as his boat is on the other side of the harbor. Could it be Peter Banis? Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Working. My monthly fixed costs are extraordinary. But then again, I'm not here for a long time - I'm here for a good time. Peter L.Banis KNOT AGAIN Boston, MA

Doug: I've decided to look for a 42 with dead detroits and put some big cats in. Guess I need something to do. Peter L. Banis KNOT AGAIN Boston

Interesting. Would you be able to keep it in the same place? Refresh my memory. What year is your boat? Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

Yes, my slip can go up to 42' but with the platform would stick out a bit. Boat is a 1983 splashed in 1984. I've relpaced everything but the motors and Milton Cat has taken exclusive care of them since 1988 - had the raw water cooling system expanded with these mondo pumps, replaced everything on them from the heads up except the injection pumps since then including biger alternators. Gennie in 2001 (6.5 Onan), A/C replaced in its entirety in 2002 with the automatic temperature control Marineair system and circulating pump, canvas in 2001, swim platfom last year, had the stern rebuilt with bigger rudders on 2002 (big difference), water heater, pumps, spare shafts and props, L shaped ultraleather couch on port, sub zero fridge 2004, cockpit tackle center under bridge ladder, smaller one on strboard, outriggers, Raytheon 630 plotter, 24 miles Raytheon open array, furuno sounder, Garmin 128 back up GPS, back up sounder, a/c cockpits lights from radar arch over bridge, 2 ICOM's (I can hear Portland ME just fine), new converter in 2000, 8D's every 3rd year (due in 2006), etc. Maybe I'll keep pot and put the C-9 Cats in it and go 30. :) Peter L.
