Hi guys! We talking CAT'S? First, the 3126's at high HP are junk. Don't make them any more. I undestand the C-9, like mid 500 hp, would fit just fine to replace my 3208T's and is sleevable (I think). Now, that would be a ride. Peter L. Banis KNOT AGAIN Boston

After reading more of this post, both the 3116 and 3126 are no longer made and for a reason - massive block wear for the hp, among other problems. Stay far away from both. Peter L. Banis KNOT AGAIN Boston

According to Cat's website, they're still making the 3126's: http://www.cat.com/cda/layout?m=53580&x=7 I know Doug Courier told me the 3126's were a tight fit. Seeing as the C9 is bigger, I have a hard time believing it'll drop right in. Maybe the C7 would be a better fit. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA

My understanding is that the higher HP rated 3116's didn't do too well, hence the bad rep for all the 3116's, but also that the lower HP 3116 engines were fine. Never heard anything but good about the 3126's Sean Burlingham "Island Time" 1987 Bertram 33 SF Melbourne, FL SBurlingham@cfl.rr.com
