The one good thing about those two stores is, you know they'll be there in the spring. Around here, boating being seasonal at best, no Mom and Pop would survive the winters. So I guess I do have to appreciate that they are always here year after year. Bill 33 FBC Ipswich, Ma.

Well, it was a pain in the a$$ (about 20 minutes on the phone), but I just got Worst Marine's 800 line to price match Boater's World's website for 3 Shurhold brushes. BW had the 3 I wanted for a total of $98.97 and Worst Marine had them for $118. All I had to do was tell them the model numbers I was looking at and which online store I wanted them to match. I even made it more difficlut for them by paying with 2 gift certificates that I had. Every time I walk into WM I have my Defender catalog in my back pocket. I just bought a macerator pump, it was 166.00 at WM and Defender had it for 109.00. WM prices are out of control, they're pricing is not even close anymore. I do order from Defender if I dont need it right away. For me - WM is a LAST RESORT only. I try a few local places - then Boaters World, then, maybe....West Marine. All of this is after I searched the net.

The only reason I continue to use Worst Marine and Boat Useless is that it makes it easier for the family to get me Christmas and/or birthday gifts (though I've been saying for years not to get me anything) as it is easy for them to pick up gift certificates. Like I said before, the service in WM is awesome. The prices just suck, its not the associates fault. Bill 1988 33 FBC Ipswich, Ma. > ~-------
