WINDOWS LEAKING

Post by TIM »

[?] This last episode of rain here in So. Calif. reminded me how much my windows leak. Short of going around and putting silicone all around, has anyone out their taken on the tast of removing them all, restoring them and sealing them properly? Thoughts?/ I have a 79 SF

I get a few drips on the FBC when It really pours for a length of time. Most of the problem is corrosion around the screws. The old stainless touching aluminum thing. So far resealing around the edges has stopped it. I hate to think about taking out the windows. One good thing though. Bertram didn't use the window framing to support the flybridge like many other boat builders. I would think they could be pulled out and rebedded. Bet it would not be any fun though. E.W. Dugan
