How not to winterize Onan 6.5 MCCK

Warmed the genny up, sucked out all the old oil & refilled. Shut thruhull (I'm still in the water) pull hose off & stick in a bucket of antifreeze mix. Pull the hoses off the waterlift muffler & splice them together. Cleaner off the carb & I'm all set to winterize & fog. Start her up & spray a whole can down the carb just as the bucket is emptied. Put the carb cover back on & I'm all done. OH NO, WHAT'S THIS MESS? I had left the funnel & hose for putting the oil in the crank fill. That meant no cover on it. Oil had sprayed out everywhere, including on my teak deck. That'll learn me. Al 1978 33 FBC NITES OFF
