Just got back!

Post by dougl33 »

I just got back from helping a friend of mine bring his new (to him) 1988 FBC back from Kent Narrows, MD. Its got 454's with a little over 300 hours on them. The boat ran like a champ. We made 439 miles in 4 days. We avg'd 109.75 nautical miles per day, just over 15 knots, and 27.35 gph. For the most part, we cruised at 3150 rpms the whole trip. The gps was showing from 19-20 knots. We had 4 great days of weather. Mass bay was like a pond today. Oh well, time to get mine in the water. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth

Sounds like a great trip. Frank Price & significant other (Leah)stopped in 2 weeks ago to check out my work. Discussed maybe all of us getting together sometime this summer. I just e-mailed you a few fotos of the finished salon & galley. Really, really, really updates the look of my old 1978. Al 1978 33 FBC NITES OFF

Al, I just got back from NY. Pics look great. My cockpit should be done either tomorrow or Tuesday. Hope to get it in place by Tuesday or Wednesday and splash soon thereafter. It would be great to get together with some of the guys. FYI: I made my reservations for the rendezvous in Mewport 2 weeks ago. Any idea on whether or not you'll attend?
