Let’s us know how she performs. Make sure you run her WOT to check top end RPM and that temps hold. You want at least 50 rpms over rated. Good Luck

Sea trial went well. Bridge techs not functional though, but she has a salon helm that works. Didn't really pay much attn as the visibility from there really was not great due the heavy condensation on the windshield. Cold morning unfortunately. I still want to go over all of the maintenance records to see what's been kept up which should be provided this week. So I am still in a feeling out stage at this point. But at least the family really likes it. So I am moving forward albeit rather slow.

A mechanic or surveyor should have been able to put a tag on the shaft or hub at the trans, shoot it with an rpm gun while traveling to get true RPM’s. You also might to do an oil analysis by CAT, it’s called an SOS i do one every year. Only trying to help

Haven't gone that far - re a surveyor. This was a run for myself and family to see if they'd really like it. Wife and daughter were exited yet a bit apprehensive the week before the run but I have a big thumbs up with smiles from them. So we are moving forward. I am taking my time as this would be the biggest boat I have run. To be honest I felt intimidated. If we do end up buying after doing all of the due diligencene necessary survey etc I will being practical and hire a captain to run through every system until I am comfortable. This isn't my old Whaler or Grady for sure.

I don't want to confuse the issue but if you are going to have two women aboard often you will want all the room you can get. The 33' Bertram FBC (FlyBridge Cruiser) is built on the same hull as the Sportfish but has a somewhat smaller cockpit with a somewhat larger cabin. The cabin overhead is higher in the FBC also. The Sportfish is a great boat, but if space is a priority you might want to checkout the FBC also if you haven't already.

Have been through a FBC too. Both the wife and my 11 yr old like the cockpit size and the outside environment better. The cockpit in the sf is laid more more how we will use it. But thanks for the input IR.
