I am working on moving up so mine is officially for sale. Trying to avoid having two boats so I am pricing to sell if anyone is interested. I am finding out that its near impossible to stage this to avoid having two for at least a little while - or we will never pull the trigger. Do brokers ever take a boat "in trade" to make a deal happen - in other words, mine will sell eventually and it's (unfortunately) not worth all that much relative to what we are thinking about. It's an 83 FBC re-powered with Yanmar 315s. Truly interested and I will provide the list of stuff I have spent a fortune on over time. I would say it is in very good shape and most everything updated or upgraded.
I have a friend that buys and sells boats wholesale here on the Cape. Basically the boat dealerships call him when someone has a boat they want to trade in. How many hours on the engines and where is the boat located?
It has 1,500 hours on 2006 315s and in Falmouth. Been yard maintained since day 1. There are a few of us on this board in the same marina - Green Pond. Happy to share details / learn more if you want to email me.
George didn't realize you are on Cape. Any of the local boat dealers will contact my friend Jay about trade ins as he is the one that buys the boat. If you need out or just want to find out what the trade in/wholesale price is and get a quote from him send me an Email and I can forward you Jay's number. He is local as well as he is in Hyannis. Email me at jonathan.wagner@comcast.net I will reply back with his number Jon
He couldn't pull it together. Super nice kid though. I almost felt bad. His wife and kids were all excited. Good news is, Sold it yesterday! I am officially a Viking guy this Friday.
