Ptown

Post by Capn Tony »

I've been trying to get a slip in P'town for Sat and Sun night but they are full. Went on their web site last week to reserve but they never got back to me. I finally got ahold of Nancy today who said they are booked. So much for trying to use modern tech:) Thanks Capn' T 33'Bert SF 3116 Cats Hyannis MA.

Tony. I have heard it's changed over there. $5:50 a foot. I think $40 or $50 a day for 50 amp and $15 a day for water! Had someone at my dock that wanted to go over but was infuriated with the price hike. Price quoted over the phone was for a 38 foot boat. They had the same problem. Nobody answers the phone and no call backs.

Such a shame. I also heard they got bought out and the prices are very high. It was a nice quaint marina before and a great location. I assume most places will go up in price faster than we would like. I was in kennebunkport and it was $5 a foot plus $50 a night for 2 30A cords. It was a very nice marina but pricey!

They have made a lot of infrastructure improvements and $15 a day for water is small compared to the big picture to run these boats but it adds up for an extended stay. Hope other marinas don't follow their lead.

Try going to Nantucket, talk about pricey! We will be over on the Island for the Big Game Battle in 2 weeks.

Nantucket at this time in the season is steep. We go twice a year Spring and fall when the price is 2.50 & 3.00 per foot. Maybe we'll just take the grandkids fluke fishing if nothing opens tomorrow in Ptown. I did get Jay at the marina earlier who said they were still booked.
