Frank, I tried attaching pictures of my transom to show you that I added hawse pipes through my transom (I wasn't able to upload the pictures, kept asking for user ID and password???). I did this when I was repowering and also found the transom cleats tabs needed to be re-fiberglassed to the transom. I'm on a floating dock and I didn't want the lines chaffing on the fiberglass transom. They came out great and work well. Mounted one unit on the inside wall and one unit on outside of the transom, then filled the space gap with black starboard pieces that I cut out in the same oval shape and stacked on top of each other till I had the right thickness. I attached the Defender link to show the hawse pipes I used. Sorry I couldn't add the transom pictures. http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?pat ... 0&id=33287

Brian... Pictures would be nice but maybe you can give me an idea where you placed the transom hawse pipes.. perhaps you can let me know about how far down from the transom coaming and how far in from the transom/hull corner they are. I have been wondering about installing something like this, and with the painting project in the near future I want to complete any work I plan on the hull before it starts. Thanks

Frank, I sent you a picture via email. I won't be going up to the boat this weekend do to a family event in VA. If you need more measurement specifics it would have to be the following weekend.
