Outriggers
Outriggers
Happy Holiday's all, I have a pair of Lee single spreader 24' outriggers that I'm going to install on my B35. Does anyone know the proper position and angle they should sit at. Thanks's Mike...

I installed mine a few years back after much research. You have to optimize to suit your personal preferences. What I found that has worked excellent for me (wishbone mount style) is: For position: find a location that will allow for easy deployment, consider you may do this in rough conditions. For me this was the area where the Bertram logo is. I found some (Gene for example, who sent me photos) had them mounted up on the upper bridge area, for me this seemed impractical since in the Northeast I have a full enclosure up. For Angle: position them on an angle where they extend 1-2 ft beyond the transom, when in the stowed position. On the FBC they do seem to be vertical and look like they should "lean" back more. However, when deployed and in use they give great spread and are in good location relative to the rod holders. Never had a problem with my installation. Good Luck!
