Buy read this http://www.yachtsurvey.com/boatreviews/ ... _33_sf.htm The fix is not hard; just a very dirty job. You have to do lots of grinding under the V-birth. Then make a pattern and cut some quality plywood. Lots of epoxy and fiberglass to "sister" in a new bulkhead. The only problem I have ever seem on 35B's is eternal Bertram problem, rotten rear bulkhead. This is not a structural component as the forward bulkhead is.

Like a lot of things price makes all things right. If you can buy the boat cheap or have the seller come off the price more then the repairs cost, so that you get something for your time. Maybe then I would buy it. Even when you buy a boat that's in top condition most people still makes changes in the boat that cost money. For me it's just to much work to completely restore a boat. I've done that and found out it's cheaper to buy one in good condition. When it comes to electronics I would rather install what I want. So out dated electronics wouldn't be a concern to me. With the boat market being what it is I'm sure you'll find a boat Buzz

Jeff I will talk to the friend whom looked at the boat this weekend and get his thoughts. When he looked at it he brought a surveyor with him. I have to agree with buzzk, it is alot of work to rebuild a boat that has been run hard, but if the price is right and you fully understand what you are getting into you will know what you have under you when your done, Plan for the unexpected! $$$ Brian 1986 Bertram 33 FBC Mercruisers Seahorse Ellisville Harbor, Ma
