63 Bertram comes apart Very ugly
Oh sheeeeet I just check3ed Pascoe's website. His "staff" made the correction about the year of the boat. His staff must be reading his emails. No other corrections thought. In sure hope Pascoe or someone as good as him gets to survey the boat and report. I like Dave by the way. Just don't make mistakes when you are being critical. Especially when you are an expert and just not another internet know it all. (Like me)

Don't think so. I'm not sure what year Bertram changed the layout of the bilge, but if I had to guess I'd say it was 1980. I know Tim Stamm's bilge on his 1981 seems just like mine. Also, as Scott's tank is an 83 it could be suspect. I'm anxious to get pieces of it so we can test it like Frank Price tested Rick's.

Brian, I got it installed and it ran beautiful until the end of last summer when it started overheating,I suspect it lost a head gasket but will know better this spring when I tear it down. Aside from this problem I am very pleased and thank you again for the great deal! I trust your boat is running fine? Thanks Again!

I did not post here; but on the 31 site. I spoke with Don Jones VP at Bertram on Thursday at the AC Boat show. Bertram made the owner a deal on a new 70B. The owner is happy and returned the 68V. The owner has a 63B demo boat until the 70B is ready. Don also said the 63 was repaired. The boat did not take on a drop of water. It was skin delamination. The 63 did have 400 hours on her before the delam. My take is Bertram stepped up to the plate even in these tough times and made the deal. Most of the a-hole that made posts about the cause of the failure from a few internet pictures are just that a-holes. Dave Pascoe and another fool that goes by M.E.K are the a-hole pack leaders.
