Something rather funny since I made my last changes to forum registration - my admin email is getting completely slammed with undeliverable email errors because of all the fake email addresses these losers are using. I also noticed that one change I made got overwritten from the last changes, so I put that back in. That one change filters many spammers also, so we should see another immediate improvement in straining out the spam bots.

quote:Originally posted by Admin OK, I think I have changed my stance on donations. A lot of people have offered to help, but I have always declined. That is until now. I figured that we are a community, and why should I not let the community help me out if they want. So, if you are interested in donating to keep the site running well and strong (and to motivate me to keep making it better!) feel free to send me whatever you feel is appropriate. If you feel that nothing is in order to be sent, that is fine too. I'm not asking for anything, just accepting help from those that want to help. Send in the form of check to (must have my name on it, not bertram33.com!): David Sumich 4029 Warner Ave. Huntington Beach, CA 92649 or via PayPal... drkato@bertram33.com Also, I have tried to make a few changes yet again to ward off the attacks of losers with nothing better to do in their pathetic lives, aka hackers. From now on, all new members will need to validate their email addresses and get authorization to join. In addition to this, I am going to completely remove the Guest Book from the site, as it just gets completely cluttered with SPAM. David... Happy to help keep this forum open.. and don't be afraid to ask in the future. Either that, or each of us should plan on making donations say around the first of January and then around July 4th, so you don't have to ask. What do you all think? Capt Patrick of the B31 forum seems to have everyone making twice a year contributions.. usually one of the older regulars there posts a reminder and all the regs chip in. I have no idea how much $$$ it costs to keep a forum like this open.
