Boats on the water

Post by buzzk »

The price of fuel didn't seem to effect people using their boats in my area. The waterway was packed. The cheapest fuel I could find was 4.25 per gallon for diesel. How was the boat traffic in everyone elses area? Buzz

In Virginia Beach, VA, the boats were unreal, and the water cops to go along with them. Price of diesel in my area is $4.59 and gas is $4.39. I still don't know why diesel is more than gas.

Sunday in the Beverly, Salem Ma. area, the great bulk of the boats I saw out were sailboats. Al

Yeah, we were out Sunday. Took a jaunt through Salem Harbor but didn't go down to PC as we knew you were still on the hard. Did not know about Bill. Then we were over by Misery & you could count the power boats on two hands. Al

I have not seen any impact in S. Fla. Probably more boats than ever. I was out 4 days over the weekend. More raftups, more idiots. The Popo, were hovering on the raftups. As soon as one broke loose with 20 people in a 20 ft. boat they nailed them for saftey & BUI checks. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC

To All; Diesel went to $4.80 on Thursday, up from $4.20 the day before. Gas was $4.30. Sunday was packed at Fort George, with the raft-ups solid for almost a mile. We spent Saturday night on the hook along with seven more. Still trying for a legal method to stop high wakes from thoughtless boaters that scream by a long line of rafters. Glad to see others enjoyed the weekend, and also paid respects. LuLu

I never thought I would pay $590.00 for fuel and feel good about it or should I say relieved that it wasn't more. Buzz

I went out to Block Island, RI for the day on Sunday and was pretty quiet. Lots of open slips and the ferries didn't seem that full for such a beautiful day. Diesel on the Mystic River 5.10/gal. That was probably the most expensive lunch and beer I've had!!
