Loooking for interior seating vendor
Loooking for interior seating vendor
Does anyone make bench seats that will just bolt right in to my 35'? I am sure I could get some custom ones made, but would like to avoid the hassle and expense. My salon was gutted and refit without the stove and all the other stuff on the port side, so I have a lot of room for seating and the couch I have now tends to start moving around in 10' seas, which is not much fun. I only sleep on the boat at tuna tourneys out of town (2 nights per year) so sleeping space is not all that important, as all the rest of my trips are day trips. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike C

I really fell for the flexsteel at the annapolis show this year, but I would need shorter than the display. I believe it bolts down but it's pricey to say the least. I think that if you need bolt down stuff you might do better by making the frame yourself and then having the upholstry made. Anything bold down may be subject to removing for engine acess?? I've spent a couple of weekends on a B31 with ultra-leather cousions on the dinette and it's been more than good. Right now I've got a nice futon on stb side that makes into a double if needed. You may be able to go with an off the show-room sofa/loveseat and then install some cleats or hold downs to keep it in place?? If I had both sides of the salon open I'd put a dinette in on one side as that's a good place to hang when fishing or passing time. Check out the pics of Game Boats http://www.gameboats.com.au/ They're the Ausie versions of bertram's working with the same space. So if both sides of the salon were open I'd put a dinette on one side and a sofa on the other. John D "Lady D" Bertram 35 Pasadena MD

I have been looking at the flexsteel too, as their prices are not too bad. I got in touch with the Aussies and they sent me to their vendor who was not too interested in answering my e-mails. I would like fixed seating, as it gets pretty rough going over the Columbia river bar, but I was wondering how I could do it and still have engine access? Any suggestions? Thanks, Mike C
