Flexsteel

Post by Rissa »

Does anyone have an opinion about flexsteel furniture? I have been looking for something that will allow us to sleep 2 extra people and have a place to eat. Eventually we will refurbish the whole cabin, but for starters, I just want a comfortable place to sit. Marissa DeWitt Ocala, FL

Got a piece on order, due mid-Sept., let you know how it works out. Seems to be the good stuff. Custom built pieces suits any and all conditions, height, width, length fabrics etc. Although not cheap, my 72" J lounge with ultraleather and pull out storage $2600 landed.

I like their stuff, but for us it was a futon we picked up at BJ's wholesale. Last year my wife found a palm tree cover with pillows. It might be a cheap way to go for a few years. John D "Lady D" Bertram 35 Pasadena MD

I like it fine I have 2 love seat benches with a fold down table between they both fold out and can sleep 4 extra if needed. The beds are very comfy however i think the seating is a little too soft for my taste but we did vinyl instead of leather i think the leather is firmer.

I have a Flexsteel couch with Ultra Leather that pulls out into a queen sleeper. I upgraded to have the 4" mattress WITH the optional 5" air mattress top combo. We've been very happy with both the couch and sleeping, but I did change the bolts from Zinc to Stainless and added two diagonal reinforcements criss-cross aluminum strips on the back side to maintain rigidity when removing the couch back to get through the cabin door. Very tight fit when the bed is open, less than 1" to spare before hitting the microwave. We sleep a family of 6 comfortably though. We also looked at the Flexsteel products. Opted for a futon from BJ's that had two roll out storage drawers underneath. Al
