I know Tim,I'm working on that. The problem is, I want at least 5 mp's and that costs real money.I actually did take a couple pics and will try to get them posted, but I'm as bad with the computer as you are with engines. You need to come up here to document this.... Frank Price

Frank, I received the templates today. I didn't get a chance to look at them before I had to travel for work, but I will this weekend. My plan is to have my cabinet maker make copies of them and get them back to you. Thanks again. David Sumich Bertram33.com Forum Administrator

David, No hurry. Before you make copies , check them carefully to your floors. If they're much different, mark the patterns so I know the differences if you don't mind.It would be really nice if the boats were made so precisely that the floors are identical but I wouldn't be surprised to see some differences. Also you'll see that the raised area around the table is smaller than the actual floor. That is because I cut the overhang off my floor. It seemed to exist only for the carpet to hang onto and I couldn't fiqure out how to edge the floor with the overhang, so zip it went. I hope the patterns save your guy some time. I'm still fighting with the hatches and have finally come up with a solution for edging them. The tight radiuses are a pain to bend wood around. Frank Price

Frank, just to let you know, i took my sister to circuit city last week and found her a 5mp kodak digital for $179....i thought this was a good deal and was impressed with how user friendly and the good features that it had for the money. Tim Stamm Photo Finish 1981 33' Bertram FBC

I have been talking with a professional wood installer.and now i am torn between the classic look of the teak and holly plywood and a product that he is suggesting that i use. it is 3" planks planks of rosewood it is very beautful and comes prefinished.he says it is a very hardwood and the finish is very durable.he says the cost is actually less than the plywood and the installation cost is about the same since he does not have to finish the wood. Doug, I just bought a digital rebel the other day, so now I'll be sending photos soon. After years of using a 35mm slr, I couldn't bring myself to get one of those cameras that you look at the little screen and then wait a few seconds after you push the button for it to actually take the picture, Besides ,I'm sure 6.2 megapixels will come in handy. Tim, One word of caution on the sole. Make sure you seal up the bottom and all sides of the wood COMPLETELY with epoxy(several coats)before the installation. The boat is bound to leak at some time onto the floor and if the water can get into the wood anywhere it will swell up and start the process of ruining it.You have to do this after it's all cut and fit so you can seal the edges. Tim, Thanks for the congrats. I assume by the name of your boat that you're in the photo business of some type. If so, any opinion of the canon camera? Frank Price

I shoot nikon and do not know much about the rebel but i do know that cannon recently has really surpassed everyone in the digital world...so i am sure you will do well with the rebel Tim Stamm Photo Finish 1981 33' Bertram FBC
