BOLTS

Post by MIKEFRITZE »

I have my side panels above each engine box off and i noticed 4 bolts that are rusted. It looks like they bolt the bridge to side walls just outside of the cabin.I put my hand up in there and found that the nuts are almost gone.I am going to drill 4 new holes and install 1/2" stainless bolts.I have a 1979 sf .It may be worth whoever has an older SF to take a look

Starboard side aft bulkhead was rotten on my boat, bolts were doing nothing except sitting in sawdust. Had to glass in new bulkhead, all this goes on in the corner behind the cabinets on the FBC, out of site, out of mind. Just one of those common things that happen over time on the FBC I guess.
