Has anyone tried this product. I saw it on Ship Shape TV the other day and I was wondering if it really works? Mike...

I saw the same show a few weeks ago.I am going to try it this spring on the hull not the topside because of to many things to go around.I also read that the finish should be good for 2-3 years then you would have to reapply. Mike

I had a bad experence with this stuff. When I bought my boat the previous owner had the whole topsides done with it. Deck included. It looked OK when I bought it, but then the dirt, sand , you name it started getting engrained in it. I couldn't get the boat clean. I tried stripping it off, and was doing more harm to the gelcoat, so I let it sit. 2 !@#$% years it took to bake it off before I could get a decient coat of wax on the boat. All is well now, I use good wax. But I wasn't the one that applied it, so it could have been operator error. I would try it in one place for a 30 day test and see before I covered my whole boat in it. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC

Mike & Gene, Thanks for your response… the court is still out, I might buy a bottle and play with it before I go and do the complete boat. Thanks again, Mike…..

Ed, And it looked good too! A bit pricey. You can rent Patrick out to apply it. Gene Dugan Boca Raton, Fl. "Nauti Marie" 1989 33 FBC

LOL! Patrick would love that, won't here! It really isn't costly for the application of it, as you don't have to use a lot. It still looks good and water beads off it.

I just got some stuff from UV called MaxWax from CorrosionX. It is supposed to be stronger, longer lasting then ReJex. It was developed for the Armed Forces to keep jet engine soot off the paint job. MaxWax is in a spray can and Rejex is more like liquid wax. Both are supposed to keep gel/paint clean and shiny. Both are supposed to stand up to washing. You can remove your pretty past wax job with Dawn. Can't report on sucess until next season. Charlie

I've used Rejex for the past 2 seasons with fantastic results. If Maxwax is like Rejex but better it must be good. Regards, Doug L. 1986 33 Bertram FBC Queen Elizabeth Marblehead, MA
