Rick (Ticket radar arch)?

Post by SeaDrive »

Rick

Wondering if you got the radar arch made for your 33 and if yes was it local here on Cape or in SE MA? Also does it fold down for transport over the road?

Thanks

Jon,

Yes, made by Atlantic Towers in Hyannis but I think they are out of business. It does not fold down, you could probably have one made that did as I've seen similar designs with that feature. I had it made in 1999 for $2,200

If you need help finding someone who makes arches these days, I know a very good electronics guy that could give a few names.

Rick

Thanks for getting back to me and info. I have a line on a 1979 33 SF diesel that will need a radar arch or hardtop.

Welcome aboard Jon.

I will tell you that aside from my diesels, the hard top has been the best money I've spent on the boat in the 18 years that I've owned it, and that was back in 2004.

Doug I would definitely prefer a hardtop but a radar arch that folds down allows me to get a 33 SF to my friends boatyard which is about 2 miles from the ramp at Bass River. I barter computer work for winter storage, winterizing, shrink wrap etc I am in wait and see mode now as to if I even buy another boat. Have to see what type of shape my business is in on the other side of this Pandemic.
