1984 42 Bertram

Post by No Yacht Yet »

All. I have a friend who unfortunately has come to the end of his boating days. He has owned Bertram's most of his life and this last one shows exceptional care. It is priced to sell at $89,000 and you can view it on Yachtworld. The boat is in Buzzards Bay and it's name is Solitude. If anyone is interested I can give you more information than the description on Yachtworld.

I wish I had room at my dock for a 42. I used to fish on one years ago. It was one of the best fishing boats I've ever fished on. They are great boats. I would rather have a 42 than a 46 Bertram.

Buzz. I'm glad we purchased our 42 last year. After we bought it we have had many long time canyon/ offshore guys praise the sea worthiness of the 42. They felt the 46 was tender and wet in the big seas.

Brian, with those engines you must have the perfect boat. The boat I fished on had the 6v92's and at the time it was nice and fast but compare to what you've got it would be a dog. I've fished on the 46 too. But I would rather have the 42. I know the trend is bigger is better in fishing boats. When you look at the boats in big tournaments a 50' is small but I think the 40 range is the best. 2-3 guys is all you need.

She's a screamer, 27 kt cruise full fuel and water. Beam sea, quartering, following, never touch the wheel. Love this boat!

Brian, We are in looking (very selectively) mode. Call me over the weekend if you have a minute. We want to take a look. I have my eye on a 43 Viking Express but Di really liked your boat. Guess who wins that. 508.243.4742

Sale pending guys. I would expect it to be gone by the weekend. It's a good one.
