I painted mine in 2011. Sanded, sanded, sanded then painted (roll and rip) with awlgrip. Came out great.

I used one for my SW wash down for the same reason. I was very happy with the result. I use 2 hose clamps on each fitting and never had an issue

I remember more than 2 screws and I rember it being a sucky job. I can't help much beyond that as I sold my Bertram

The middle step folds up and you can unscrew from within the cavity. If your steps have carpet they may have sealed it shut with rug

I had a 1979 35 with 454 mercs with the same trasns ratio. 21x19's.

Dan was your boat a gas conversion? I thought the factory diesel boats didn't have mail slots? I may be wrong. What year is your boat?

Splitting a single 30 125 cord for 2 30 125 plugs is a bad idea. You are asking for trouble with a full load.

Is the genny diesel? How much?
