10-15k is a more realistic estimate. When you get the tank out you'll end up doing struts, shafts etc as there will be easy access. Odds of engine damage is a tough call - 50/50? Our 75B tank turned out to be fine, problem was in the aircraft quality fuel lines were breaking down because of the etha...

Might either of you be interested in this prop? $60. + shipping and you can have it for a spare or use. Not doing me any good in the box in garage. If interested I can send photos. Fred

We had a 1975 Bert with 454's and ran 21 x 19's.Not sure if that was original or not. We have one LH reconditioned prop if you want a spare or something to try.

Thanks Alano. Got to the boat today and the cleats do come right out. I'll have to pay attention to mounting the new boards based on your comment. I'm looking at 3/4" PVC. Any photos of yours?

How thick PVC board did you use for the panels? Have they stayed straight & stable? I'm thinking of using 3/4" Versatex. (PVC). The manufacturer seems to think the 3/4' will be enough for the panels and the hatch door. The doors on my 75 Bert are about 13" x 5'. Thanks for the cleat ad...

Thank you! I guess I will have to get the big screwdriver! I'm surprised that there is no nut but it certainly makes it easier.

The panels won't come out without taking the cleats out first. I was wondering if they are just screwed into a block or if they are trough bolted with a nut?

Removing rear cleats

Has anyone taken out the rear cleats on a 35? If so are they through bolted and is there access anywhere to the nuts? I'm thinking of re-doing the Formica sides with PVC when she comes out of storage but I remember the cleats have to come out to do the project.

Thanks for your response. Seems like there should be an easier way! We are only getting water in a driving rain and it seems like it is coming in along the bottom track and on to the carpet. The only weather stripping seems to be a plastic piece that hangs over the outside bottom of the door.

Hi John, Your new salon door looks great. We have a 1975 35' Bertram and get some water through the original doors in a driving rain. Is replacing the door the only fix? Any advice on taking the old ones out? Thanks.
