Since there is some discussion on leaks and there are several 89's here I thought I would ask. I am tracing what is probably a old window leak. Water has collected between the hull and the shower panel and has started to drain into the shower. It looks like I have some damage to the lower portion of...

Thanks for the comments guys. I haven’t noticed a constant light with more current, but I will check that next week. Next stop will be High Tide. After reading the post about snow I feel lucky to use the boat year round. Rick 89 SF Rockport, TX

Misc Questions

I’m curious about the top stripe on each side of the cabin where the Bertram 33 is placed. I have an 89 SF and my stripe is white. I have seen both black and white stripes on boats. Can anyone tell me if the 89 came from the factory with a white or black stripe? In my electric panel the polarity is ...

Larry, I have a K-22 on my 89 SF that started leaking after rebuilding the helm pump. Started to rebuild but the shaft was pitted. My mechanic thought it would continue to leak so ended up with a new one. After loosing steering when the helm pump went I did not want to worry about the cylinder. Refu...

Gerard, I always like to see the pictures posted by others so I will be glad to add pictures. I need to read the upload instructions. Will not be on the boat this weekend but will try to find some pictures on file or take some more when I get to the boat. Thanks to all for the warm welcome. Rick

Sean B It is interesting to both have a problem after being at a different dock. You Florida guys pay more for insurance but it sure would be nice to be able to run over to the Bahamas. Rick

This site can get addictive. I think I could hang around all day and talk about boats. Bill, I've been by your dock a few times to say hello. I did not know you were at Island Moorings. I held up there for two 2 weeks. Have the slip for a month and hope I don't need it. Have you found the new boat y...

Robert, It was "Poco Mas" your correct. After meeting Tom I was more impressed with the his boat. He put a lot of time and thought into every detail of the refit. We were lucky to be buying when he was selling. Rick

Hello from new member

My name is Rick and I have a 89 SF in Rockport, Texas. I decided a long time ago the 33 was perfect and searched for the right 33 for a long time. Last spring I found a boat repowered with yanmar 370's that was a good fit. I have followed the different subjects on purchasing, repowering and solving ...
