Don I had the curtains in mine dry cleaned when we first got the boat and they came out ok. Be careful with those little plasic balls as they seem to fall apart from age. Our boat is a 1982 and although the curtains are clean they look dated as well as the original peacocks on the master stateroom b...

I had the entire cockpit and bulkhead on mine awlgripped a year and a half ago. All the original (1982) formica and bulkhead were in great shape so it was prepped and sprayed. It was done in off white and came out looking like it was a new boat. I'm just hoping it lasts for 5+ years! It also cleans ...

This is just a thought, but, did you check the shower pump sump? Some pretty ugly and scary things can grow in there! I'm in the process of replacing my holding tank vent line, since I noticed a slight odor under the front bunks this spring. Good luck---Doug

scuppers

Hi all, I'm just about ready to go back in the water for the season and noticed the rubber on my port side scupper is torn almost all the way across. I'm hoping one of you guys knows where to find the rubber/vinyl piece,or have a good alternative material to use. I'm hoping the 33 and 42 use the sam...

I ended up putting a new freezer on my boat this spring. It had to fit it in an exisiting box in the cockpit. 3.6 or 3.8 cubic feet was the smallest chest freezer that I could find. I bought it on line at compactappliance.com I think it's a summit? It will hold one bucket of chum and a flat of macke...

wall coverings

Hello all, I was planning on redoing the wall coverings on my boat this fall/winter. The original covering seems to be a heavy vinyl and I was wondering what people have used to replace it with. Also , is there someone who around CT who does this? Thanks---Doug

I had that happen to me last year. As the others said I stopped and and then tapped it in reverse. Out shot a plastic bucket! It probably is a good idea to check it out. Good luck-Doug
